Chocolate Maple Places In Top 3 At The Aloha Cup 2026

We just heard our Chocolate Maple won 3rd place at the Aloha Cup (January 2026) this past weekend. This event was held at the Blaisdell Convention Center on Oahu. There were 2 categories: sun grown and indoor. Chocolate Maple was entered as sun grown flower by @ogganjahfarmer who took home a trophy, $200, and free entry into a future cup.

Scoring

Judging was done by an all public panel with all of the scores determined blind. Nobody was told what strain they were judging or who grew it, instead having everything labeled by numbers.

Genetic Lineage

Chocolate Maple is Black Maple x Gorilla Glue #4 BX with the outcross being to Crippy BX4. Both Black Maple and Gorilla Glue #4 wash and yield well. The terps will compliment each other as Black Maple has a sweet syrup gasoline smell and Gorilla Glue #4 has a strong diesel fuel and chocolate terp. @ogganjahfarmer said his selected pheno was a Black Maple leaner but did have some GG#4 notes.
