Our Tangie menu just dropped in August 2026. Tangie is Cali O x Skunk #1. This menu offers stand out crosses for both concentrates and flower. It is the first Tangie menu from 808 Genetics. We hunted 2 packs of Tangie from Crockett Farms in search of a male that we liked. The popularity and success of strains like Super Boof helped put this menu in motion.

Originally gifted the Tangie seeds from Crocket himself when he visited our island in 2012, we have since created several citrus strains like Lemon Lulu and Sour Tropicanna Cookies that we thought would pair well with a Tangie male that didn’t exist when we were first gifted these seeds. Having these strains made working a Tangie line even more appealing. Tangie also seems to not be as readily available as it once was, which really solidified us wanting to work with it.
The Male
The male we selected was a clear winner. It had that Tangie, Sativa-dominant structure and an intense sweet orange aroma with the male flowers coated in sparkly resin. We had several growmies check out the male and they were blown away with how a plant could smell so much like an orange. With so many desirable characteristics, this male was perfect for this project.

For us, the goal of this menu is to create orange citrus polyhybrids in addition to heavy mouth-coating, terpene-rich varieties. The Lemon Lipz aka Lemon Lulu and Lemonade are flagship citrus varieties, and will create offspring with both lemon and orange terps. The Sour Tangie x Tangie and Sour Tropicanna Cookies x Tangie will focus specifically on orange terps. Any one of these will be amazing in flower, but really something special if made into a concentrate.
Washing enthusiasts looking for unique cup-winning terpenes should hunt the OG Ghost Train Haze x Tangie or Strawguava Melon x Tangie. The Strawguava Melon #7 was selected from our Watermelon Rolex pheno hunt and had a strawberry banana smoothie vibe. The OG Ghost Train Haze mother plant smells like Trainwreck mixed with haze, so adding Tangie to that terpene profile will create something we feel will win awards.

Blue Hawaiian Crosses
Some other notable strains to consider are the Blue Hawaiian crosses. The two mothers were selected by 808 Genetics from a pack of Calco Genetics Blue Hawaiian seed stock.
- Blue Hawaiian = Kona Sunset x Blueberry Syrup
- Kona Sunset = Undisclosed (by Gooey Breeder Seeds)
- Blueberry Syrup = Blueberry x Cherry Pie x Grandpa’s Breath
Both phenos were similar in structure, taking on a Sativa growth pattern, with large internodal spacing and wide branching. Our favorite out of the two phenos was the #2 because it had a little bit better terpene profile, yielded more, and finished faster. The terp profiles on both of these phenos reminded us of old-school Hawaii strains that we’ve been getting requests for. We will be breeding with the #2 again in several future projects.
