How To Tell If It’s A Legit 808 Genetics Pack
We’ve heard that there are fake 808 Genetics packs floating around, so we thought we should let our community know.
How Can You Tell If An 808 Genetics Pack Is Real?
We package all of our seeds in-house. While we’ve put out many strains over the years, our packaging has been consistent with two different styles. Our original packaging included tiny wax-sealed glass jars to hold the seeds which were placed inside a small burlap bag and then inside a black cardboard box with our green lightning bolt logo on the front.

To speed up the packaging process, we switched to mylars in 2021 with custom artwork by @420air. We’ve had 2 different mylars, one with our hashtronaut on the back and one with a glittery tropical beach scene. Inside the mylars, you’ll find the seeds in plastic purple clams. Our custom mylars are heat sealed before they get shipped, to provide extra security and to be kept as souvenirs for enthusiastic collectors. What Does A Fake 808 Pack Look Like?
Packs that are not legitimate will not come in our packaging. We’ve seen fake packs in clear plastic containers in clear plastic bags. While the counterfeit packs do have our 808 Genetics logo on them, they were not made by us and do not include our genetics inside, no matter what it says on the label. It is unfortunate that people try to mislead others with false merchandise, but it’s important to be wary when getting an 808 Genetics pack that does not look like ours.

It’s also important to know that some people give out fake 808 Cash Apps, PayPals, etc. We list our legitimate donation methods in our automated email reply, so you can always drop us an email to double check if an account is legitimate and get an immediate response.
