808 Genetics’ Angel Breath Competition Offers About $2.5K In Prizes

808 Genetics is putting on a competition for anybody that wants to enter. The goal of this competition is to see who can find the best pheno of Angel Breath. Angel Breath = Animal Cookies x Peanut Butter Jelly Breath.

The winner receives an 808 Genetics NFT, Circus Animal box set, and a dab rig – not to mention bragging rights. We intend to meet up to test and see all of the phenos if it’s doable, and if not, the winner will be determined by a community vote based on how many likes a photo gets on the 808 Genetics’ social media page. Competition starts now (March 2022) and ends December 31, 2022. We recommend you begin flowering no later than the beginning of September (2022) to allow a 10 week bloom time and proper time to dry and cure.

Why Angel Breath?

We were able to make a large amount of seeds of this particular strain, which allowed us to offer it at a better rate. It is also a great strain to grow. Animal Cookies is a strain that we love. It’s unique from our other strains in effect and terpene profile. Medicinal qualities include helping with insomnia, decreasing anxiety, and appetite stimulation among others. Animal Cookies will offer phenos with little leaf, which will make maintaining and trimming the plant easier to accomplish. Peanut Butter Jelly Breath also has a great terpene profile of peanut butter and strawberry jam in addition to high medicinal value.

Our Animal Cookie cut is truly a special plant and is visually stunning to see in the garden with its swollen bracts that are nicely displayed by how little leaf it has. Flowers are also dense and frosty with leaves that produce gorgeous resin rails. Our Peanut Butter Jelly Breath was our #1 most popular strain of 2021. It displays colors of pinks and purples with dark, almost black, leaves without manipulating room or water temperatures. The flowers are strong and are great for pain relief, PTSD, anxiety, and sleep disorders.

808 Genetics will also be growing and selecting a pheno, not for competition, but to do in collaboration with the community as well as be able to work the line in future projects.

Tips

Animal Cookies is a somewhat light-sensitive strain that can easily be overwatered. Experiment with light settings to find what it likes and to avoid deficiencies or light stress. Either give a little less water than other strains, or water a little less frequently. Peanut Butter Jelly Breath has branches that grow straight up instead of out, so if you find a PBJB-dominant pheno, make sure to properly train it with stakes or trellis net and defoliation to allow even light exposure throughout the plant and to avoid issues like powdery mildew. PBJB is the opposite of Animal Cookies in the sense that it drinks a lot of water, so you’ll be able to tell which parent the pheno is most similar to by noticing details like those.
